the ASEM education secretariat
At the 2nd ASEM Conference of Ministers responsible for Education in Hanoi 2009, the Ministers agreed to establish a rotating ASEM Education Secretariat. For the coming four years Germany will host the Secretariat. The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) decided to set up the Secretariat at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The Secretariat will contribute to further intensify the Asian-European dialogue in education, to organise and coordinate ASEM educational activities to summarize and disseminate their outcomes and make ASEM more visible in the field of education.
Financial support
The ASEM education secretariat works within the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
